We were shortlisted by the High Commission of India at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the design competition of their new chancery and residential complex in a prestigious precinct of Kuala Lumpur. The various components of the complex were broadly classified as Chancery (High Commissioner’s office, India Audit Office, visa & consular sections, administrative offices), Cultural Centre (business centre, multi-purpose hall, library, class rooms) &Residences for India-based staff. The design proposed clear demarcation of access and spatial distinction between various functions in the complex. a central piazza, in the form of atrium acts as the hub for various activities of the cultural centre. The plot area is 5300 sq.m. and the proposed built-up area is roughly 14,000 sq.m. The submission was made in association with Das Azman Architects Sdn Bhd. The estimated cost of the project was Malaysian Ringgit 54 million.
