We were shortlisted by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for the design competition of their new residential complex, to come up in the prominent central district of New Delhi. The complex comprises of residential units of various categories, common facilities such as office-cum-controlroom, gym, senior citizens room and children’s play area. Attempt has been made to break the monotony in façade by play of light and shadows which also provides solar shading. Apertures have been created at various levels to act as green and refuge spaces. It also provides transparency in the building mass. Common facilities have been provided in the stilt area, with views & openings towards the landscaped piazza. The total built-area is 14,420 sq.m.
