We had prepared master plans for JNV schools proposed at Nandurbar, Maharashtra, and Dahod & Narmada in Gujarat, to be developed as pilot projects for new Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools on public-private partnership (PPP) format. The various components of the school have been clubbed within two distinct zones viz. the academic zone (comprising the school building and provision for a multi-purpose hall) and the residential zone (comprising students’ dormitories, dining hall & kitchen, staff housing & the guest house). We have provided technical and urban design services on behalf of EY India Pvt. Ltd., who were appointed as transaction advisor by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization under the Deptt. of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The total built-up of each school was around 10,000 sq.m.
